A small addition and remodel to an existing split level home in the Hollywood Hills. Walls at the rear of the living space were removed and a small amount of area was added to create one large living space that opens to the rear patio and hillside. The kitchen addition is clad in ipe hardwood and mediates between the lower living space and larger bedroom wing. The sliding doors open at the corner and retract to fully integrate the interior and exterior spaces. Interior cabinets are finished in dark wenge and the floors are travertine.
